Out Classed
Due to overcrowding I will be placed in the GT class for trackday this Sunday. My scared 88-951 and I will be sharing the track with Porsche GT3 cars.
Is there anyway I not embarass myself too much.

hahahaha - have fun. You're gonna be the guy wearing loafers at Sing-Sing. Meet up with a car you like early, and get his laundry and do his cleanup - in exchange for protection...

rofl - actually, a 951 DESTROYED the cup cars (GTC3) at porsche clash during the springs, literaly, lapped a few.
granted, this wasn't your grandma's 944 turbo......... sounded like a fighter jet going by *drools* - had a turbo that could suck in small children... but yeah, you can be competative. i hate to say it in this light, but after you get beyond a certain point driver-skill wise, it really comes down to $$$$$$...

add a few pounds of boost and make sure you hit your apex lines properly.Depending on the course i always liked late apex's....i found that it gives me a little more on the straights coming outta the turns(depending on the turn).Goodluck to you....as long as you keep your wits about you...i think you will be fine. After all someone is bound to crash and mess up!

The 944 turbo at the Clash was a Milledge set up. John was there to help work the ‘bugs’ out. For those of you who know the Glen he was running 1:55!! That is about what the SCCA GT-1 record is for the track.
Top speed at the back straight was in the 175 range, dyno number in excess of 600hp.
Very impressive. The engine bay has been completely reworked – in the front the center is all intercooler with two radiators on either side – all ducted and sealed off to vents in the hood.
It was fun to watch the 911 GT1 guys get a little embarrassed, the 951 had pulled them by three or four hundred yards by the end of the first lap! <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />
