Default Sunroof not working...

Hit the button and nothing happens.

Fuses are good.

Next thing to check?

I want to replace this stuff with the manual latches. Anyone have a set for sale and a DIY on it?

Join the club. Switch seems to be a common culprit. I'd see if someone close can loan you a known good unit to try first.

There's a microswitch on top by the interior light, that could be bad. Press the triangle cover and check if it makes a difference. Clarks garage should have a trouble shooting guide.

I have a nice set if you decide to convert. Manual is the only way to go.

I understand the frustration. I had to competely redo th 951. The cable was pulled out of the motor, had to find a used motor with the cable still attached, swap cables, realign the gears so it opened evenly, reset the switches, reset the switches, reset the switches.
Guides on the panel on the(968) Tip were broken, had to replace those. Gears were out of time on the 6-spd 968, would not open or close evenly, took me a while to notice that, it was off by one tooth. Thought the panel was warped, reset switches, etc.
Still like the electric opening tho. Would not complain if one was a manual.

It was the front microswitch. Had us chasing our tails for a bit, ended up having everything disassembled before we tested the front microswitch.

Once you've had manual, you'll never go back.

I have the manual latches on their way to me. At least then if (when?) the electric sunroof fails again I can just swap them over and call it a day. Can also pull 15 lbs out of the car...
