$240/half for the 951, $200/half for the 944S, $52.80/half for the 931 on an antique policy. I love that last one.

State Farm, 100/300/300 limits, $250 deductible comp/collision

I "have" been paying $270 for six months of liability on the 951...homeowner discount, multi car etc.

HOWEVER I just signed on with Hagerty...full coverage ($12k agreed value) for 12 months (6000 miles) $407.00 and includes their highest level of Roadside Assistance!

Judging by the cars on the site for sale i think $12k would go a LONG way toward replacing it if something goes horribly wrong.

If you get Tico's 2.8, fly into Memphis and drive it home, Memphis to Denver won't be that bad. I did Vegas to Heber in 19 hours,
hauled *** at times but it was fun and the 944 has a great long distance driving position.
The problem with driving it back is that I lost my dad back in November and had to drive his truck from Pennsylvania to Colorado with another trip down to New Mexico and this has all been in the last 2 months with a roadtrip coming up to Los Angeles in the next few weeks as well, not to mention the weather we've been having, so I REALLY don't want to be behind the wheel of a car for an extended time, but if I have to...

Can people elaborate on Haggerty some more? I've never heard of them until now and from what I'm gathering, they seem to be a good company to go with if you have a car that isn't your typical daily driver, so I may insure a Porsche through them and my two other vehicles through someone else if I see a benefit.

I've got allstate full coverage. Since i only insure it for about 3-4 months it's super cheap. the rest of the time it's covered through my parent's homeowners since it just sits in the garage looking pretty.

I have USAA but I don't think they do declared value policies. I'll most likely move the 948 over to Hagerty instead.

Such cheap insurance in this thread. ICBC is $130ish a month for my 93 Passat. Liability only, 3 or 5 million.

So will Haggerty's (or other delcared value places) let you buy back the car if it gets totalled?

With Hagerty's can the car be your primary transportation?

"All household members with a valid driver’s license must have a regular-use vehicle for daily driving. Motorcycles and public transportation are not considered regular use vehicles for our program. Applicants must also maintain regular-use insurance in his or her own name."- Hagerty site.

If this is your daily driver, they will not insure it, from what I can tell. This is to insure your show car that you plan on driving it to and from shows and the occasional outings. I am not sure how they would be able to verify that you weren't doing one of the two things if an accident were to happen but their deals are really good considering.

I run USAA full coverage right now. Tried getting Hagertys but because my daily (1988 VW Fox) is the same year s the car I was trying to insure, they wouldn't insure me...
