speaking of top speeds...I've been driving a SRT/10 Viper engined truck the past week Big engine but in the end just a Dodge truck (though i wish it was the SWB manual version).

The thing scared the crap out of me. At a tad over 100mph all of sudden the seal on the windows goes "woooosh" loud enough to make me jump and lift. I was about to lift anyway for all of you that are about to scold me

Cool. Spectating or participating?

Spectating.

Post up a pic of the Z06 and I'll look you up when I get there.

Nah, I'll be thrilled if my little street car makes 180 (fingers crossed). The way I am geared it should be bouncing off the limiter in 5th right at 180. 6th is a huge jump and don't think it will have enough torque to pull from 4200?rpm-ish with 180mph worth of drag...... not in a standing mile anyhow.

I don't think they allow camping on-site. Didn't in the early days anyway.

Goliad has some hotels. I forget where my friends stayed but I'll find out.

I had planned on running my '11 Mustang but registration closed that first day and I was out of town that weekend w/o internet access.

It's my birthday weekend so I've got a free pass to drag the woman into something motorsports related. It's a tossup between the mile and heading over to Eagle's Canyon. I'm in Fort Worth, so if a DFW group does end up heading down then I'm game.

One that I know of is in it, Super charged 928. The rest of us will just be there looking good and drooling over the machinery. I'll keep a look out for a group of you guys.

I'm heading out, with the 951, Saturday morning if anyone from Houston-metro wants to caravan.

2bridges - I'll look you up when I get there. Feel free to PM me if you need anything brought in last minute (parts, fluids, etc.) from civilization.

Anyone else?
