It's a 7.3L, cold air intake, exhaust work and chip. It averages 20mpg, I've seen 22mpg on hwy trips, never less than 19mpg hauling and around town. I've thought of getting a new truck but honestly it's the most reliable vehicle I own or have owned.

Do you drive a Powerstroke on a regular basis?

Would you drop me a email or a phone #. I picked up a excursion 7.3L, mileage is all over the place. Maybe you can give me a few pointers..

Has anybody successfully aftermarket turbo'd the 7.3L Powerstroke?

nope, never owned one but wold take a 7.3 or a cummins... my father has owned a 7.3, then 6.0, and now the 6.4 (which is terrible on fuel @ 14mpg)
he had modded the 7.3 with a chip, exhaust brake, and cold/ram air intake from western diesel. not sure if they are still around though...
my best friend is a certified ford tech and does diesels day in, day out. i always get interesting phone calls from him about the trucks he works on.

sure, there are some aftermarket turbos for these trucks, I'll see what I can find one here and as well as my buddy.

John - for the excursion, stock? chip? anthing notable? usually good trucks, hard on front end components, and sort of whimpy trans...to bad the torqueshift wasn't around for this engine, all the 6.0s got it though and its one tuff tranny.
