Is the kkk26 the same in a turbo s?

different hotside in the Turbo s. kkk26/8 in the S and 89's, 26/6 in the non-s.

Yes and no. The compressor is the same (K26) but the turbine went from a size 6 to size 8.

Just got a new turbo put in ,he said he put a S turbo.Just wondering if its better?

A tiny bit more lag but greater power overall. It will be very noticeable to the seat of the pants.

search for the thread showing the visual difference between the S and non-S turbo and make sure you actually have one.
Shouldn't the downpipe be different, as well?

i dont believe the down pipe is different. The housing is actually different their is a flat spot on one of the housing. I cant remember which but i think its the #6. #8 doesnt have a flat spot
