Had a similar problem when I nicked one of the o-rings that does on that little tube (I forgot the name.. it's been years!) that goes from the oil cooler plate to the block

Omg those pictures are epic. I have never seen this before, only read about it on clarks garage. So this is the "chocolate milkshake" I'm sorry this happened; forgive me for my overzealousness.

This is the milkshake, no need to be sorry, I only paid the $75 for the widefire, my tech doesn't charge me if I help him on the weekend...

Hmmm.... when my head gaskets start to go bad (all too frequently) they will seal fine at low pressure (such as 20psi), but will leak badly under heavy boost/high cylinder pressure. That said, I agree there's no way to know based on what's posted whether its the seals or the HG. The overflowing coolant suggests the HG is adding air to the cooling system though...

Same holds true for oil cooler seals, 15 lbs in cooling system 70 ish lbs for the oil. however if the HG has not been done before it's time anyway. I have been wrenching on these things for over 20 years and screwed up a oil cooler housing seal this year!

My head gasket was done in April, but the tech who did it was a 944 specialist who my tech doesn't think torqued the heaqdgasket right or didn't take it to a machine shop to check for flatness, so in May my tech pulled out the oil cooler to check if the mixing was occuring there because of the seals. Apparently the oil cooler was fine, so he changed the gasket anyway and that's why he says it's the headgasket...

Oil cooler was fine? Of course, the actual oil cooler is not where the seals are on a turbo engine. Might want to read my oil seal replacement and HG write-ups, each linked below -- so you can have a more informed conversation with your mechanic. If he/she is not very familiar with the issues/parts involved, the best mechanic around could completely miss the issue.
