Default Fabspeed 4" exhaust

One of the items on my "dream list" is a FabSpeed 4" SS exhaust. I recently visited the site and don't see it offered anymore...only 3"

Anyone know what's up?

I tried E-Mailing Alex @ FabSpeed but no response.

SFR still shows a 4" on their website. I was under the impression that Fabspeed built them for SFR.

Alex, from FabSpeed, just got back to me and informed me that because of lack of demand, the 4 inch exhaust is temporarily dis-continued.

I'm very very sad. I love the way that exhaust sounds!

Is there really much of a difference between a 3 and 4 inch exhaust? I guess it all depends on the mods you have, but it might just be overkill.

Our 4" Big Flow would be a better performing kit then theirs. Then get it thermal coated, if you thought you needed SS, and it will still cost less then the Fabspeed. If you wanted to get a group together, feel free.

Based on a 550 cfm compressor, the total pressure drop decrease 2-1/2" vs 3" or 4" is approx 4.5- 5.0 psig and hp increase is significant and the turbo spools quicker.

3" = about 7.065 sq."

4" = about 12.56 sq."

So about a 78% increase in area for the gases to exit?

Should the entire system be thermal coated or only the upper sections?

The exhaust coming out the tailpipe at the rear of the car is still in the 500 degree range, so it would
make sence to coat the entire system. However, it was mentioned for more of a protective coating
solution as a alternative to SS. Long lasting, and get the thermal benefits as well.

How big a group are you going to bring us? We run specials a few times a year at 10% off so I'm
sure we could double that with a big enough group. Say 10 +.
