Default Cold Air is Back!

Got the first drive of the cold air season over the weekend and always love it!

Nothing better than when the back end breaks loose at the top of 2nd on a run; ie about 50+ mph!

And my "CAI" is working great. IC pipe cold and intake manifold only luke warm even after numerous wot boost runs.

Agreed Drove mine into the office today. Forgot how much fun turbo cars are in the cold air! 37 degrees when I left the house this morning, got a little squirrelly on the on-ramp. Good times

Love the cold air, car is running very well.... just watch the throttle applications on freeway onramps.... the combo of cold air and cold tires can be a little hairy...

Yeah, it's a bit of a cruel joke mother nature played on us: lots of power with the cold air but no traction to use it!

I've wondered about that. Assuming the tires are fully warmed up and the air/roads are not super cold, is it not maybe a cold road issue but just the effects of the cold air making the power come on so much better/responsive?

Thus the tires break loose easier?

Like for me, to break the tires loose at the top of 2nd I was making the most power and was at 50-55 mph. So this seems more an issue of power and not loss of traction per se or they would have broke loose lower in the revs.

Why thank you Todd. The guy with the built 440ci 2009 Corvette keeps asking me to go from a dig because I'm making his build look bad. I did get a good kill against a Audi R8 V8. This weekend a lot of prestigious vehicles will be meeting up again, one being the R8, another being the 996TT (675awhp) that smoked me. Where about are you from?
