help! broke banjo bolt

Default help! broke banjo bolt

i broke the banjo bolt that goes into the intake manifold. do i have to order a new one online? or is it something i can just pick up at a kragens or autozone or something.

You won't find one at Kragens or Autozone. Your best bet is finding a used one at Parts Heaven in Hayward or through a local Bay Area person parting a car. If I had a spare I would send one your way.

LR should also have them - always fast shipping, in my experience...

+1 LR is a great source. I think its like $3 and they ship quickly.

thanks.hopefully ill get it by tuesday. also, what should i torque the bolt to? just so i make sure it doesnt happen again.

A little less than the last one…!
The banjo bolt does not need to be very tight – just enough to snug it up so it doesn’t vibrate loose. If you are ordering parts make sure you have the aluminum sealing washers for the banjo blt.

haha that made me smile. im hoping the bolt comes today within the next hour or two so i can get to school. if not, it looks like i'll be walking to the bus stop.
