Default Company with the fake CATs?

I remember someone posted a link for a company that makes fake CATs. The housing and heat shields around a straight through pipe. No restrictions, and can pass the visual inspection....

The smog test in Las Vegas is so relaxed, I'm positive I can pass without a cat....as long as it looks like there is one in place when he sticks the mirror under the car.

Anyone remember what I'm talking about....and can post the link?

Thanks,

Go to the car reckers and buy a decent size cat, bash it out, put a pipe though it (same size as your exhaust) weld it on. Thats what i'd do!

And in Central oHIo there is no smog or vehicle inspection ever!

When I brought a car in from out of state, the only inspection was VIN and odometer validation.

True, there is no emissons testing in MA after so many years. However, the shop may decide to check under the car with a mirror. Just depends on the person doing the testing.

Thanks,
Please let me know how this works out for you, as I am preparing to register my 951 here in Vegas and am somewhat worried about the smoging.

Is the pipe inside the hollow cat necessary? I gutted mine and bolted it back on, the exhaust is still silent and now it can breath

It's not necessary (completely, thoroughly gutted cat is MUCH better than normal cat, which is MUCH better than clogged cat), but the pipe inside still helps because it keeps the air flowing smoothly, whereas the gutted cat creates some turbulence.

Oh, don't worry about Vegas' smg testing. Its a joke. I've tested my car less than 5min after starting it up in the morning. It passed fine with a "cold" cat.

On older vehicles (ours), they just use the old tail pipe sniffers. Anything will pass, as long as its running right.

I honestly am not worried in the least about running without a CAT. As long as it passes the visual (guy with a small, foggy mirror thats too lazy to get on his knees), and doesn't smoke, you're golden.

exactly.

There was another site I am thinking of that was making the same "fake"cats in stainless. Anyone have that link?
