Hey Gary...thanks for the response! So just bought a Turbo S! Nice.

Let me know when you get it rolling. I work nearby Euless (Sewell Cadillac Grapevine). I'll leave the demo at home and drive the 951!

I've met some of the folks that will be at Mineral Wells this Sunday.

Alright here's the plan...meeting at Plano Tortilla Factory at 7:30. Breakfast taco's then we'll head North to catch a nice little stash of fun roads from 75 west to I-35.

I usually run from west to east but meeting a friend over in Plano..besides the food is good at the tortilla factory!

We'll be wrapped up in plenty of time to get back to families for the rest of day. heck, my seventeen year old is riding with me, he LOVES it (wouldn't you at that age!).

Please let me know if there is any further interest. Right now it looks like Ryan and I will be the only 944's..so far!

If your gonna meet I'll send you my phone number and e mail.

(between 15th and Park off 75...go past 15th and take a right on 18th (on your left right before Ave. K)

You know, might be a few more of these cars in the DFW area than I realized. Some where in here might be a good idea to start a roster. Couldn't hurt in terms of parts (we all got extras) and close by advice. Racer, I'll PM you for starters since you seem to be an organizer. FYI: live in Keller/Southlake and office in Irving.

I'll bet your getting anxious to get your car back on the road!!!

If I were back home, I'd be there. I'm planning on trying to get the 951 down there to show family. If I do, I'll have to try to set something up.

Of course, you are more than welcome. We even allow some of those beetle looking cars and Coxsters too.

yeah i remember you were from around here...bring it down!

thanks for the post...it looks like you've made contact with at least a few in your area recently! It sure doesn't seem like Dallas has an active 951 community. I could use some brothers!!!

I scoped out a one owner 968 the other night...cool guy who also has a home in Germany (and a GT3!).

Your cars gonna be wicked! Completion expected????

Anytime, we won't be having our typical gathering the first of the month due to our 3rd Coast event in Marble Falls, but if you have the time, drive down for it

My family lives inMcKinney so 455 is one of their fun roads. Small world.

South to Hill Country of course, and SE Oklahahoma and into Arkansas for some real greatness!

I have found a nice little gem in FM455 north of town (Pilot Point-Celina-Anna...and back again!). There are a few detours off that road that are fun as well.

And I have been to a PCA Time Trial at MSR..wow was that a riot!

Take care!

I live in Carrollton so it's easy to access 455. A real gem for this area! I know a few other roads off that route that are fun too

wow...had a GREAT drive today. Used a little extra caution as the roads were a little damp in places. With the new turbo it just pulls and pulls and pulls...!!! A friend tagged along in his modded turbo Cobalt SS (287 FWHP) and complained that his arm was sore after the first 12 miles (one armed driving with white knuckles)

I encouraged him to take his hand off the shifter, both hands on the wheel, use the dead pedal and...breath! He relaxed and had a blast. He was gushing afterwards.

The only problem??? When stopping the 951 got ALL the attention!
