I figured I'd dig up the last thread...hoping to go for a Sunday morning drive this Sunday (Dec. 12th). I do this pretty often though usually just me, myself and I (and often my son!).

Attention D/FW area 951 community, anyone out there?

Ok...I've been tempted to do this for a while now. I think it would be great to meet some other local 951 owners and check out their cars! It could also be a great opportunity to learn more about the 944T. We could share resources, etc.

This Sunday morning I'm meeting a couple friends for a "spirited" drive on ranch roads north of Dallas. Nothing crazy just a fun early morning drive. HOWEVER I wish those friends were driving 951's like mine!

Anyone out there interested? I've met "Phlip" though his car is down for a headgasket repair. BTW, he's a great local resource (a tech!) and very knowledgable on our cars!

Heck I may try the local PCA Happy Hour tomorrow night. Last time I went with the PCA folks to a time trial they were all helpful and fun.

Not really expecting anybody to jump in for the Sunday drive...just trying to get the ball rolling for some local involvment. If we can get something going we could eventually hit some time trials or a DE or?? Heck I rolled my car up to Eureka Springs and back taking back roads the whole way...HUGE FUN! I'd like to take a drive down to Fredericksburg...I think that's where the "twin sisters" or something like that is (twisty road!).

I did that several years back in my 951 and it was alot of fun. You guys stay safe!

Not too many 951's in our area. I've only met like three other guys and seen two others. Last year found one on Mansfield National Golf course parking lot. Left business card, e-mail etc. and no response. Quite a few 928s though and of course, 911s rule around here.

I lived there for a while. Met John when I was there. For the really fun roads you need to go south to Hill Country. You are also blessed with a great PCA there and two+ awesome tracks. Eagles Canyon and Motorsports Ranch.

Yeah I remember seeing dallas as one of your haunts.

South to Hill Country of course, and SE Oklahahoma and into Arkansas for some real greatness!

I have found a nice little gem in FM455 north of town (Pilot Point-Celina-Anna...and back again!). There are a few detours off that road that are fun as well.

And I have been to a PCA Time Trial at MSR..wow was that a riot!

Mine is a DD, so not sure how much DE/AutoX I'll be doing, but I drive around the Dallas area every day. I can count on one hand how many others I've seen in the area.

ModdedEverything951S was a Dallas guy, but moved away not too long ago.

Nothing in stone yet except that we are going. You and I are the only 951's so far. A Vette and a buddies Cobalt SS (290+rwhp!). Heck..I'll go myself as far as that goes!

I'll have to make a plan for time and a meeting place. My seventeen year old son will ride along too! Lucky kid!!

Hi Guys, I just got a 944TS its down for some need maintenance. I live in Euless and will try to sneak away to the PCA autocross in Mineral Wells this Sun. Maybe another time.
