Default Turbo Install Question

Hey guys I was wondering when you install a new turbo do you have to drain the coolant? I know clarks-garage says to but I didn't know if I could cheat it some how. Maybe take a syphon pump and pump the coolant out of the res container?

Thanks for the help

You'll lose all that is higher than the fitting on the driver side of your center section.
Not that bad, drain the reservoir and the turbo water pump.

No, it is not necessary. Pinch off the res line and clamp above tank, then simply re-install.....didn't evn have to bleed mine. But if you do a 10mm wrench and 2 minutes and you're done.
