You pulled the plugs, correct? What did they look like? If you are running that rich, it should be obvious, and they will foul out soon.
Ok, which one is the dme one and where is it located?

No, tach is stable in the gauge pod.

Yes, pulled the plugs and look fine, just on the dark side obviously.

Crazy idea, but perhaps the full throttle micro-switch on the throttle sensor is wet/gooped up from engine degrease?

Its enclosed in there so perhaps kind unlikely, but would maybe account for the full-rich condition following the engine degrease?

I didn't get a chance to get volt readings last night but just did a visual inspection and let it run while wiggling wires and connections etc.

Nothing seemed to change and when I completely unplugged the dme temp sensor it just died. Unplugging the dme temp gauge sensor didn't do anything expect loose the gauge signal in the dash. I will confirm readings this weekend but it seems as if the dme sensors are ok.

Also, I unplugged the #4 injector (closest to the firewall) and the car died. However, I unplugged the #3 and it did not do anything. Is that due to them running in a batch 1/3-2/4 at idle? So #3 was not on?

Also, with wideband readings and hitting the throttle part and full, etc. the graph only blipped slightly off full rich, but that was from 9.6 to about 10.0 so regardless of revs, throttle etc. it stays full rich. So that rules out the FPR correct? As it would have gone very lean with high revs?

All the injectors fire simultaneously. If you unplugged an injector, and there was no change - then something is wrong with that cylinder... If could be you have an injector stuck open, which would explain the overly rich condition, and why unplugging it did not have any effect.

Ahhhh. Well then that sounds like it.

Although, if unplugging it then it would have leaned out and ran much better, right?

Can I fix the injector or need a new one?

Worst case, how do I know if it is the cylinder itself?????

If the injector is stuck, then it doesn't matter if the wires are plugged in or not.

I would also do a compression check on that cylinder. Of course change plugs. Also, I would change oil - most likely have gasoline mixed with oil - not good for bearings...

Will do! Thanks Rogue.

Possible to unstick the injector?

An injector is a solenoid. You can try tapping on it to see if it frees up... But best bet is either rebuild or preferably, a new injector.

Ok, it is that injector. I switched it to another cylinder and then restarted, pulled the plug and no change. So I know it is that injector.

Guess I will get one from RC engineering. Anyone else cheaper?

Delphi. Although the sticker on them is Martin which i assume is who I bought them from but can't seem to find anything on them. Bought them a while back so I don't remember where I got them.

All fixed!

And just in time for for this past weekend with some nice weather.

Had a couple new muscle cars try to take a run at me while I was out testing and making sure everything was ok.

I love the look of shock and awe on their faces when they catch up after we have slowed down, lol. Also when my wastegate atm dump opens to they look over quick as they did not expect my exhaust to be louder then thiers at full tilt.

Nice weekend!!!
