Default wiper fluid tank removal...

want to remove this to relocate my Saiko Michi CC. Can it be removed from above or does it need to come out from below and remove the wheel well liner? I'm hoping for option #1.
Any tips?

Thanks

I have my wheel liners removed, but I unbolted it and finagled it out the top. Wasn't too bad, really.

Any of you guys have the washer pump, lid, etc that you want to get rid of?

I actually re-installed my tank but dont have the pump, cap, etc. I like being able to see through the windshield.

Darwin, how did you get it by the lower outside mounting tab? I can't seem to move it over enough to get by where it mounts.

Sawzall did cross my mind

I with Fluidplay on this one. I swear the longer style wash tank was pressure formed in place on the car like a balloon. What a PIA to remove with or without the fender liners.

To be completely honest I cannot remember. I had the coil removed and disconnected the headlight motor plug. I just wiggled it out of there! I also had the power steering lines disconnected.

LOL, It really looks as if it was...so Steve, you pulled it out from below?? I'm at that point where I'm just going to remove the liner.

I removed and replaced mine a couple of years ago and did not remove the liner and I pulled it out from below.

I do remember thinking I hope to never have to do this again ever.

Success!! Definetly needed to loosen and pull back the front portion of the liner and remove the brake duct It's still a PITA.

Mine is an 86, and it was worse than replacing the PS rack. I think I actually loosened the oil cooler, removed a big bracket, some other stuff, then still almost used a come-along to pull the thing out. The later model small tank was very appealing as the replacement, but I went with an original.
