Default clutch master cylinder pushrod adjustment

Hi, courious to know is it nesscessory to remove the clutch pedal, in order to adjust the free play between MC push rod and pedal?
I've found a metal block can't slide out from the pin at the side of the pedal, just lose the nut on the push rod only?

Thanks! I went throught it, it said the clevis can be free to turn. But I think the even the nut was lose and the clevis still attach with the pedal pin, I can move the clevis but can't fully slide out from the pedal. T___T

There should only be a little clip holding the clevis onto the pedal pin, once that is removed it should slide right off. Maybe try and get a small screw driver in there and try to pry it a little bit to see if it will let go?

to just adjust the throw of the master cylinder push rod, loosen the lock nut, then spin the cylinder push rod. it's shaped like a hex head, I believe it's 7 mm. I just did this (or rather conned a friend into doing it for me) a couple weeks back.

Thansk for all. So I will try to spin the rod. In fact, I thought one end of the rod attached to MC is fixed, so will try to spin the rod later on. Thanks!
