Billet machined compressors where discussed recently in another turbo thread here .. they are great ...but if you want the garret one you have to a 1000hp engine to spin it as they start at gt42 a few after market makers have jumped on the gap .. that is billet machined compressors rated for 400-1000hp .
so "Billetturbos" force permanence and atp

Garrett introduced the GTX3071R, GTX3076R and GTX3582R at the SEMA show - is anyone here already planning to use one?

They look like there's been a real improvement over an already good product.

Actually, would it be possible to use a Garrett GT/GTX compressor wheel in a T04E housing, connected to a Turbonetics F1-57 in a replica #10 housing, with a T3/T4R DBB center section? Kind of a weird amalgamation of parts but would seemingly be an awesome performer, once again, if possible.

Does this mean that the equivalent GTX wheel would be interchangeable with a Gt 3076r?

Now if only they'd offer the GT/GTX wheels on a T3/T4R center section...

Man, if they can get that kind of airflow out of that size wheel, I'd like to see a smaller wheel that flows like the (current) GT3071R. The one "gripe" I would have about these new turbos is the efficiency map seems to shift up. They seem to want to run 25PSI or so, which is a bit much unless you are running an O-Ringed block and a chamber with the plug in the middle (i.e. 4V chamber).
