Didn't make it out, I had to work this past weekend. I'm hoping to make it out this coming Sunday with the Emich group, depends on whether my car is done or not.

They still have to mount the auxiliary radiator and oil cooler, plumb them, make the shrouds for them and install the two reverse louver hood vents.

Where did you get the hydroboost adapter, Josh?
Probably going HB soon. Manual brakes are scary.

Got the adapter to run the 951 MC on the Ford Hydroboost from Texas Performance Concepts. They just started carrying it. Picked up the hydroboost from a junkyard, I think someone on the Hybrids forum is selling a hydroboost setup, you'd just need to get the adapter from TPC.

Sweet! I already have a Mustang unit on hand. May drive down to TPC tomorrow.

Call them to make sure they have them in stock. Only a small run of these were made...

Yes, Eric is no longer associated with TPC. Kent has taken over, I had a few conversations with Kent 5-6 years ago but haven't had much contact with him since.

So far so good though, I got my adapter with no issues and continued parts support has been promised...

Hopefully he can keep it going, I have a feeling after my last dealing with him that he is likely overwhelmed. I did get my hydroboost adapter from him very quickly, just had a small issue with another part which I wasn't in a hurry for, but zero communication on it's status.

I'm not sure if Kent has another full time job or not. I also don't know really how busy TPC is. I'm not sure if TPC employs fabricators or farms out the jobs to other shops, if they keep stock on hand, etc, etc.

I did recently get my hydroboost adapter and that seemed to go smoothly. I do hope parts support continues as I do have several parts from them...

He told me that they farm out the installs and that Eric still does the fabrication of some of the parts. Business also moved to Arlington, TX. I'm going to get the adapter and hoses. We'll see how it goes.

Another update. Can't say I'm entirely happy with how long this process is taking. I'm sure the work is top notch and all will be awesome when I get the car but I'm beginning to get a bit impatient to get the car back in my garage. This is just part of owning a project car though, everything takes a lot longer and costs much more than if the car was stock.

Anyways, some work was needed to get done to the 2004-2007 Audi S4 auxiliary radiator to get it to fit. Left alone the frame rail would've needed to have been notched to get it to fit and that's not something I wanted to have done.

So new end tanks were fabbed and welded up. Hopefully this ends the major fabrication stage and it's more assembly now. The radiator and oil cooler need to get mounted and plumbed, along with filled and burped. Then shrouds to both made, then the two hood vents installed. Then everything tested to make sure all is well...

he's retired with what appears to be a very solid nest egg.

from my rather extensive dealings with him, Kent is straight up cool dude, and good guy.

he's doing this business without the 'wealthy' mechanical knowledge of Eric.

he's got a busy family life, with youngsters and exchange students.

lots of soccer pop activities....

but his business acumen is there, and he's looking to connect the dots and be in this for the long haul.

if the interest in the V8 944/968 continues, all should work itself out.

definitely pulling for him.

we need a good v8 parts house.

Doc,

sorry to yap up your thread, but i'm having some ps issues....

the mustang brake boost runs off it.....

and

please pardon the hi-jack,

but, while we're on the topic, i've had my ps line go bad after the Cannonball run from Chicago to LA....

it lasted 10k miles.

any chance i damage the Chebby pump or my rack if i attempt to drive it, as it's no holding fluid.

i've heard people using 30 weight oil to make it to the shop....

bad idea???

thanks.

I'd tow the car to the shop. Not really because of the lack of power steering but because of the lack of brakes.

Have you gotten the 951 Ford Mustang hydroboost adapter from TPC yet? I'd ditch that Mustang MC and go back to the stock one, just using the hydroboost portion.
