Pics of recent 951 purchse
Just picked up this car and trailer on Friday evening. Super nice aluminum trailer - only weighs 1050lbs. The car was heavily used for DEs at Roebling and VIR and Sebring and Road Atlanta in 2001 through 2003 but has sat since then - just started every once in a while. The PO had stripped out the interior to take the car to the next level but never got around to finishing it. It has an open diff, 30mm rear torsion bars with Koni dampners, Koni inserts in the front with Hypercoil 250lb springs, Brey Krause harness bar, Racing Dynamics strut bar, and that brake cooling setup with the plates on the spindles. The really cool piece on it is a set of Turbo Cup sway bars - 22mm adjustable in the rear and a 30mm front.
Bad things are paint is pretty rough, a lot of the interior is missing like the carpets and seat belts and rear seats and rear side panels. Also the oil seemed to have a lot of water in it - hoping that the internals of the engine are ok. Probably oil cooler block off plate seal...

Well - changed the oil and put in another fuel pump and she finally started right up! Very loud with the side exit exhast straigt pipe Good oil pressure and idled right at 800 to 1000 rpm. After running a minute or so the oil was back to milkshake so I am pretty sure the oil cooler plate seals are shot! Wonder how long it would take to change them out? Gotta pull the exhaust mani for sure it looks like...

Burning Brakes
Believe I followed Clarks Garage, just remove the sway bar brackets, use a large crows foot wrench (32mm?) for the oil lines and oil pressure sender then use an OPRV alignment tool. I think the heat shields had to be removed too.
