Hey guys, CPR thanks for the input always good to hear from you... Ive been using a calculator for the air space and its going to be very close to 2ft of airspace in the box and like you said CPR I'm going to be moving the rings out and higher to give more airspace, I just had them sitting there so people could see a rough placement...

Also instead of the box being roughly 10" at the bottom I decided to keep it around 11" at the bottom, 4' at the top and roughly 3' width at the bottom... The entire front side will be fiberglass and conform to the rounded sides of the trunk to giveme a little more airspace in the corners/sides of the box... I haven't worked on it this weekend but tuesday I'll have more pics, hopefully I can get the fleece n beginning layer of resin down. I'll keep you guy posted and thanks for all the input, I like to here insight.

well if you did twin 8" subs you could space the slightly apart and place the amp between them plus you would have more then enough air behind them.

Wow that looks like it's going to be a LOT of sub for such a small cockpit. Though I guess I'm more of an SQ guy than SPL so your goals might be different from mine. If just going for good sound you should be able to get PLENTY of bass to fill that cockpit from a single 10" (or even an 8") buried in one of the wells in the back. I had a small JL 8" mounted in the factory Bose location in my old Chevy 4-door pickup and it was more than enough. Cockpit volume in my truck was 2-3x the size of the 944.
