Who is CNC Kevin?
The guy doing my alignment did not appear to have much experience doing 951 alignments. Maybe they have other employees who have more experience.

For this car in particular, which would you trust more, a PPI from DJ or Jeremy's history with the car?

I would have no issues with DJ looking at the car or using Jeremy's input. Both can't hurt. Jeremy knows the history and Don Jacksons gives the current state.

Yep, both because I doubt that Jeremy looked really hard for things that he would just have to fix...

What are you guys talking about? Is there some "Spec car" that I'm unaware of?

Since I was figuring I'd never see it again, I picked up another project 951 last weekend. While I was taking the suspension off of my red car so I can get it ona a trailer, I had a slight mishap that led to a quick ER visit.

Julie told me I needed another project car like I needed another hole in the head. Now I have both.

Nope................ bumper, motor, dash, windows, transmission, seats, belts, exhaust, and almost everything you need to go racing are sitting in my garage waiting for a car to put them on.......

PPI turned out great. The guys at Don Jackson are VERY ****, and a lot of the areas received a 5 out of 10 but were rated as "GREAT" on the first page. I asked DJ why he had stuff rated as a 5 (which says average in my mind) then described them as great elsewhere, and he replied that to get a 10 in his mind he would have to be looking at a brand new car. So, while everything was in excellent working order, the fact that the car IS 22 years old caused him to give it a 5.

Leakdown test showed 2% across all 4 cylinders. Impressive.

I'm flyinig in on Saturday morning the 21st to pick up the car. I think I'm going to swing by Jeremy's house for a bit after I pick it up, so if anyone else local would like to meet up and check the car out that's where I'll be!

Yes, a bit nerve racking though taking into account the car's age, regardless of conditon, as well as the fact that I'll be driving solo from Phoenix to San Antonio through the night which is around 1,000 miles. Guess I'm going to be pounding 5 hour energy and "jamming out" to that sweet sweet factory Blaupunkt tape deck!

I've got a buddy flying into San Antonio on Sunday to meet me, do the rest of the drive with me. We're definitely swinging through New Orleans for a bit of sight seeing, and thinking about Nashville as well on the way back up to the DC area.
