I already upgraded my fuel line an insulation with 'Flyboys' reflective covers, but now I may revisit that issue.

Keep in mind that your headers/crossover/turbo aren't always glowing red hot. I doubt you will do that on the street unless you are seriously accelerating multiple times over.
