haha, leave it to my luck to break something that doesn't usually break in these cars, I don't even have a lsd transmission.

Curious as to when the shafts broke, under power or during a down shift with no rev matching?

Mine was hard to tell because after the first bang I heard I drove another 20 miles until the car quit moving under it's own power. Mine was more due to the fact of a cracked housing putting a bind on the shaft I believe.

+1 It would be good to know under what circumstances these breakages are happening. I suspect some guys are launching off the lights but it would be good to get some confirmation. I wonder if Constantine's TT might offer any resistance to this happening?

I have only put about 4k miles on my car in the last two years, but the car was never once launched in my ownership, I don't do the street racing thing. I can count on one hand the number of times I put it through a hard 1-2 shift, the last being when the tt housing cracked. about 155k miles on the car.

Note. mine had 100,000 miles on it as well... But its happend when I was shifting form 1st to 2nd under half throttle.... The car had a spec 3 clutch and made about 315rwhp at the time. Funny thing was it happened on the street and I was at the track the two days prior to it with out any issuses.
