Been having problems with boost, upper revs, bogging down and an overall lack of performance...checked my injectors...looked for vacuum leaks and fixed it, cleaned my plugs, ran fuel system cleaner a few times but I thought the girl was showing her age
I'm not a fair mechanic nor a terrible one but one way to check ignition and stray spark is to run the engine in a dark garage (plenty of fresh air) and look
never saw a thing...wires are good right?
Just put on new wires (search is your friend) and wow!..what a difference!
got my fun back

A REALLY bad wire will show up in the dark at idle, but to cause the spark to take the detour usually requires higher combustion pressures (WOT or close). It can happen in the garage, but it'll be brief, as the engine revs.
