I think 944 Ecology sells rebuilt torque tubes for $500.

Check with Ian's (aka 944online.com)
They frequently have used/rebuilt parts for sale and are located in FL.

If you don't find a torque tube try Constantine. He is just finishing building mine right now. Well worth the small investment. You don't want to have to pull it again if a used one turns out to be bad down the road. Good luck

so my bell housing is cracked to hell, but i really need to get back on the road asap because riding my bike to work just isnt working out to well would it be okay to use the housing cracked? also, the head of the bolt holding the suspension up on the trives side stripped, i grinded the head off and it still won't budge. any ideas?

Do you mean the bell housing on the torque tube is cracked? I thought you removed the TT because the splines were stripped and it was making noise. Do you want to put it back in without addressing the original problem? Or did you conclude the splines were not the source of the noise/problem? Either way, depending on how/where it is cracked, you can probably weld it up to make it work--at least as a temporary patch in lieu if riding your bike.
