Default FS turbo s brakes

I got a set of big reds so my turbo s brakes are for sale.

I rebuilt these 2 years ago with new brembo pistons and seals ($460) and I just refinished them. They look very good and I will be refinishing my big reds the same way.

Included in the sale is
calipers
adapters (almost new)
mounting bolts (all of them)
a full set of braided brake lines
pad wear sensors (new)
rotors in OK shape
5 sets of pads (PFC 90, Porterfield R4, Metal Master, Porterfield R4S and a mystery set)

Im looking for $700 plus shipping.

I will be out of town next week but if I get payment and shipping info before Monday I can send them out.

Those are some nice calipers, but are you sure they are Turbo S brakes?

They look like regular Turbo brakes, with the embossed Porsche lettering and not decals.

Yes they are the turbo s brakes. Radial mount calipers, directional vane rotors, different front to rear caliper pads and I removed the OE regular turbo brakes years ago to install these.

I wish it was as simple as the smooth calipers with decals that made them TurboS. If that were the case I would have a couple of sets I could sell. The change from the raised lettering to the decals occured around 1990. I suspect it was a manufacturing cost saving.

I backdated my car from the TurboS calipers to the regular Turbo calipers so I coulld move in to a lower class. I have sets of new Hawk Black full race pads left over if anyone needs any. $70 a set.

So, are you saying there were non-S brakes with decals? My 1990 S2 has non-S brakes and the 'PORSCHE' lettering is embossed as well.

All of the standard brakes that I know of had raised letters cast into the caliper. The brakes as found on the 944 turbo s, M030 968, some 928 models and some 911 were two versions, early and late. The early ones had raised letters like the ones I have for sale. The later ones had smooth faces with "Porsche" painted on the face. There was also two styles of piston and they differed in the seal and dust boot design. Again, the ones I have for sale are the early style scraper ring seal. The late style is the dust boot style seal.

Luis, if you want to see a picture of a standard caliper look in the classifieds and there is a guy selling 928 rear calipers. That is the same caliper frame as the standard front turbo caliper but it has smaller pistons.
https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...-calipers.html Note the "ribs" that go from the center, by the lettering, to the outside of the caliper. This is an easy way to see the difference between the standard and S caliper.

Those are the Turbo S calipers or 928, see the example below they attach to the spindle from the top, regular 944 Turbo attach from the side.
