Default Shutting off air lines

Sorry for the lack of techinical skill here, but all i know is that i love my 944 turbo.

My car has an after market dump valve - its made by Bailey and is mounted close to the header tank.
From my (limited) understanding this means that the original air hoses/lines are left open. I have been told to block these off as they may cause leaks.

I have some generic pictures of the cars engine here:

In the picture above you can see the pipes open ends between the airbox snorkel and the head. There are two.....

What can i use to block these off?

I assume you mean the diverter valve.... If so, it looks good, I cant see any open hoses?

Do you have a manual boost controller? I see the two "nipples" you are referring to. The PO may have done a venturie delete in order to go to manual boost control. Mine are open just like that. If so, don't worry about it. Does the car boost fine?

theedge - Sorry i should have marked the pipes i was talking about. I have no technical background at all.
400bhp944 - yes the two open nipples are what i mean. The car has a bailey by pass valvem manual boost controller and a Dual port wastegate. It boosts up fine and puts a smile on my face everytime it does boost.

I will leave them open for the time being then. Thanks for the advice guys.
