I personally have a DP Motorsports splitter from Germany. Looks like a AIR, but has a different middle section that curves in. Also pre-drilled holes and side plates to hide the mounting bolts. It's about a $500 splitter without paint, but it looks mean. I still have an AIR on my 951 at stock height and I've scraped it several times on spirited drives but never cracked it. The S2 now has a DP splitter. It's about 3-3.5" off the ground. Not exactly for a car you drive a lot or to far places (aka...unfamiliar roads). I have every pot hole, dip and entrance in my town memorized! lol

Interesting. Thanks for the picture. Does it hold a finish like smooth fiberglass, or does it look more like painted ABS?

Here's my AIR splitter. I like the way the look, but like the aggressive look of the CPR V1 as well.

I haven't seen it in person. You could probably spray a coat of Dupli-color Rubberized under coat. It will fill in the rough surface, then you can paint right over the top. I' ve used it on my old AIR splitter to cover scrapes.etc. It works really well.

GT Racing splitter
I know it's just a "plank", but I like it and I got it for free so I can't complain!

Not only does the GT racing one look like a great compromise between street and race spliter, the retail price is one of the most afordable out there!!

Have you noticed any need for the external mounting brackets off the fr of this splitter?? It lookes like it is just far out enough it might need them.

Not problems with Gruppe951/Sanden/Plastis/AIR/Gemballa or other clones of Strosek splitter

Gruppe951 splitter installed under friends ex. 1991 951

I have the AIR splitter and here in pennsylvania, it will scrape on occasion. I have to back out of my driveway diagonally to avoid a scrape. I really like the look and if it wears out I'll get another one. Here are some pics.

I mounted a GoPro camera on the top of mine and noticed very little deflection at speed. (Turn your speaker volume down) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT91YmJl0bE
