Is the alternator plastic snorkel the piece that attaches to the alternator rear shroud (attaches to the 90 degree down part on back of alt.) then back to the fender for fresh air to alt.?

Yes, I have both of pieces you describe. The fender attached piece is $15, and the 90 degree part that attaches to the alternator is $10.
