New to the forum and 951 ownership
Hello from Puerto Rico.
Just bought a 1986 944 Turbo. Car runs but needs lots of TLC.
New to Porsche ownership so I look forward to a lot of reading and asking for help as I work on the car.

Nice looking car! And welcome to the board. You will find info on just about anything related to 951s here. And if someone doesn't know the answer, we can sure as hell figure it out.
Do you have maintenance history? If not I would suggest getting a timing belt/balance belt replacement as a safety precaution.
Also check out www.reutterwerk.com.

Welcome Edgardo. You will have lots of fun, busted knuckles, cuts, etc. working the car. But it will be fun and a great feeling of accomplishment as you tackle each task.
And like I said, 2,800.00 for that car, even in that condition, was a great deal.

Lots of work needed sorting the vac lines, a few gauges that are not working etc.
He is new even to working cars so he started by buying a low profile jack and stands. Sorting the wiring first to see if the problem with the pressure gauge and temp gauge is the wiring before he buys some new sensors.

Congratulations on finishing your first set of tasks. It is a great feeling to see something working again.
Let's see:
Odometer gear repair done
All lights and sockets in the guage cluster repaired
Oil pressure sensor replaced (now able to see the oil pressure guage working)
Temperature sensore replaced (now able to see the temp gauge working)
Window switch on driver side fixed
Replaced the two front hood shocks
Car stopped working and it was the flywheel sensors (Reference Mark Sensor)... connectors all broken. Those tend to break with time... You created new conectors and things are working again. Good job as those sensors are a bit expensive (around US$166.00 a pop!!)
What else? What is next?
