Need to get in there....and very sorry to hear of it. One of the best looking/performing cars here.
When it happened on my car, the sunroof wasn't able to close for a while. Then it just kind of straightened out, and now it works fine. Still...would you keep putting money into a chassis that took a hit like that? Not me.

Now reread what you wrote – “A momentary bad A-pillar twist”…..yeah, and the A pillar was twisted by the movement of the floor/subframe….that’s not going to buff out!

Sorry it see it go, its tweaked beyond repair (at least affordable repair).

Well, let me break the news to you, I already parted one from Yuma, early January. I don't mind going back there again.

The rear wheel actually broke all the way around. It is an OE 10" twist. I have never seen that before.

If it was just some of the mechanical parts (sway bar end link, brake duct, nose, splitter, possibly a strut and control arm so I can sleep at night) and a little buffing it would not worry me too much but the roof has me concerned. There is very little bent exterior sheet metal, just a small ding in the lower fender.
Sean, you know my LandCruiser or LX470 is available to you. WTF are you doing offroading in a 951? Guess you need my twist wheels with some OLD racing rubber on them?

I'll call you tonight....

I thought Lart generally wears a blue and white stripped apron ..
People are really odd about bent cars heaps of race cars get banged up and straitened every week .
if it is an ok car and functions well ,, can you close the roof ? and get a reasonable wheel alignment ?
Or just get it to feel OK on the road ..
.... keep it and drive it into the ground ..

George is a kind and generous person. Many thanks.

To the parter group. No it will not be going anywhere but my shop if it is a salvage.
Spyder348, if you were tying to be funny then I must say **** off in the most humerus way. If you are serious then **** OFF!!!

I agree it does not look good and I will see what the status is once it is on a frame rack.

Sean is a great friend. When I need help with my car, he makes time for me.

Whatever happened was a driving error. The car goes where your eyes go.

I talked with him, and there was tree trimming around a place with some roads any of us would love. Elevation changes, tight corners with angles that allow water to run downhill, etc. These are public roads, and he was not being an idiot. Two of his wheels got off the pavement, and he hit a loose tree trunk that probably wasn't there prior to the tree trimming. We've had much more rain here than years past over the winter, and these desert trees are growing like weeds.

I will call my body guy at http://www.hispeedcustoms.com/. I've known the owner for over 25 years, and if it can be fixed, John and his crew will get it done. I've had my share of cars in his shop, as I've made my share of mistakes.

Lart, if it's a total, we'll let you know.

az, despite what others say any car is repairable. Take it to a good body shop with a proper frame machine. I can assure that a good frame tech can get the car pulled back to spec.
