Momo steering wheel and quick release on

Took quite some time. I went ahead and put in the 928 horn contact switch and wired it just in case I decide to use the horn. I thought I'd be able to use the momo wheel horn, but with the quick release there isn't enough room for the horn button to sit in there.
I may try to wire up a switch on the dash for the horn, we'll see how ambitious I get.
Anyways, I did this on my old 951 about 5 years ago and I forgot what a PITA it is!
Pulled the glovebox to unplug the passenger airbag and clipped the wires to the airbag ECU to get rid of the warning light. Then pulled the multi-function switch, put in the 928 horn contact button, wired it, put that back together, then went after the plastic steering wheel surround.
Got everything together and drive down the street only to notice that the multifunction switch wasn't on tight enough. Then had to take everything apart to get at that damn 8mm nut to tighten it more. Put everything together, then noticed I hadn't taken enough away from the plastic piece.
Dig a bunch of dremeling, test fit, more dremeling, rinse, lather, repeat. Finally got that to a nice passive fit, buttoned it up, put the wheel on, then drove up and down the street to get the hub aligned straight.
Got that done, torqued the wheel nut, then put the quick release together.
Pretty cool, but it extends the wheel at least another inch closer to me, which I'm not sure I like. I can manage to get in and out of the car without it, so I'll try it for awhile and if I don't like it, I'll remove and sell it. Then I can hook the horn up normally...
Also ran the wiring for the wideband into the cabin and for the oil temp gauge into the engine bay, then put the glovebox back together. Noticed one of the arms for the glovebox door is broken, so I guess the metal ones are my next project.
Almost ready to put the gauges in too...

that's cool... I picked up a commando R at Hershey for dirt cheap, just waiting on my hub adapter to get here. THe commando looks very similar to that one, they have a great feel to them.
