996/ boxster steering wheel fitment info
does a 993-996- boxster steering wheel fit my 1988 951S
if it does do the airbags still work the same

It does fit with modification. The airbag will hook up, but I have not heard of anyone wrecking hard enough to set it off.
Check the 968 board for the mod that's needed For some reason those guys like that wheel. IMHO, the stock 944/968 airbag wheel looks a hell of allot better.

Talk to Greg East. He's done it. and yes, his airbag bolted up. I don't recall him wrecking it... so yeah... I suppose it works. there is no airbag light...

Only real trick is milling out the mounting face of the wheel to allow enough threads on the steering shaft to mount the 24mm nut on. All detailed in the write-up.
