First Impression of Vitesse S2R system

After many (many many) months, I got my 951 back from the shop with a Vitesse S2R system on it. Its not in the final stage of tune by any means.
I drove the car home (with the wife following me so I had to be somewhat good).
Before the car went in for surgery it wore a K27/6 with Authority MAf system. It was reasonably quick (given the fact that I live in Denver). It would put down 104mph 1/4 miles and very few cars (vettes, etc) will put down 100mph quarters in Denver. Off-boost performance of the car sucked really bad thanks to thin air. The old turbo, from a roll in 1st gear, would start building boost and then really start pulling hard above 4000rpm. It felt fast with the big turbo rush when it came on.
Fast forward to yesterday. I left the stoplight in 1st gear and rolled on the throttle. The car hit about 3000rpm (i wasnt even near WOT) and tires started spinning and felt like wheel hop. I cannot believe how much power its making to just be able to break the tire loose with a simple rollon.
On the highway, just giving some gas in 5th the thing builds boost instantly and 70mph quickly turns to 100mph. This thing just seems to have gobs of power everywhere.
I am looking for more good news as I get it tuned in...

How much did it make off boost. I would say none and a whole lot. The Vflex I think will help off-boost more.
That said, it spools up SO much faster. There is something going on. I think good AFR and a quicker spooling turbo really helped. OF course some of this is John's magic. So even though it probably doesnt technically help offboost, the fact that boost comes right away really helps.
So the real question I am answering is the low end is immensly better because it builds boost much quicker.
Right now to control boost I am just using the same TurboSmart manual controller that I was using with the K27. It is still hooked up as a single port control on a dual port wastegate. SO it really is an apples to apples (well sorta) comparison because I am running boost control, wastegate, and BOV exactly the same as I was.
The other thing. With the Vitesse system, the BOV is much louder and has a much different sound when it dumps. Sounds really good. Sounds like a serious turbo in there.
Maybe this weekend I will get the Vflex installed.

The S2 is next for me, for sure. I asked John to let me know when he has any stock and if it happens that I have some spare $$'s I'll pick one up for sure. I just need to find someone around here who can help me put it in.

What is 'Off boost' anyway?? When you take your foot off the pedal and coast, or when you're building boost? Either way it's kind of a silly phrase. I think the question should be how quickly does it build boost compared to the previous setup...= faster!

I have Vitesse MAF and chip board on a modestly built motor using a 57trim 60A/R, BB T04B. I am beyond pleased with the results. My tires hate the set up though, as traction has become an issue.
John is super cool to deal with too. Very helpful and patient with his customers.
