Not 1 second to relax. That car is stupidly awesome for the task at hand. Seems to stop, turn, and accelerate in one motion. Love it.

That car was indeed super & turbo charged. The s/c is the whine sound. Just watching how quickly it transitions from braking to turning to powering out of corners is amazing!
As many of you would know, on a track you have time to check your gauges and relax (relatively speaking). This guy has none of this. Just go go go! Awesome.

The last time we had a hillclimb event a guy spun, flipped and landed upside down in a ditch all in an open wheeler car. He died which was really sad. The cars are really too fast now for these street tracks.
Even at these moderate speeds compared to the pros you can get into trouble, especially when the track is slippery.

Just a side note- nobody really lives on Mt Ventoux from what I remember. I've been up it. And it's sorta in the middle of nowhere. It's surrounded by small towns, and not many people have a car worth taking up the mountain anyways.
Most roads worthy of terrorizing generally aren't in the same area as homes (canyon, mountain)
I believe that was a Norma M20. 3l BMW engine, 400bhp

Nothing fancy there when Lancia's are used in the tarmac, which is totally wrong environment for them. They were designed for rally. You should look videos where some finnish rally stars, like Toivonen, Kankkunen etc. fly these cars.
