Talking Pontiac Solstice GXP.............Love my 951!!

Long story short. I barrowed my dad's 09 Pontiac Solstice GXP for the week. (He is disabled and nearly 70.....and somehow thinks this car is "practical").

Cool little car in many ways. But it actually makes me appreciate my 951 track/street toy a lot more. Handling/power/interior, etc all go to the Porsche.

This is the exact car, just not the one I'm driving.

I have a buddy at work with one that is flashed and it is a contender in the speed dep. Power comes on really quick! Does have a short wheelbase though.

I'm sure that with mods it would be a more fun car to drive.

Interior is VERY VERY plasticy, I think the hood shakes when it hits bumps too.

We had one donated to us in High School, and I could barely fit in the thing.

Not very fun to work on either.

Dude! How big are you? I'm 6'2 and 235lbs and have plenty of room to spare in the thing.

Funny to see the 951 look the biggest car of the bunch.

Some of that effect I think is camera angle. I have the Solstice parked next to my 951 in the garage last night and don't think there is a huge difference. (a bit hard to tell since the 951 is on jack stands)

6'4 with my work boots, 250. Made my 951 feel huge.

Must be the race seats, but my 951 is way harder to get in and out of than this Solstice.

Sounds like you need a bigger turbo...

Of course I am 19 so ease of entry is relative.

What race seats do you have?

One of the best things I ever did was to put early Sport seats in. They gave me a few extra inches of head room and shaved some decent weight off of the car.
