Coilover drop 1.5", add a kompressor or turbo, 18x10's all round....and the Solstice just may have a little something...
Somehow I could see driving one of those hopped up, before I could drive a miata in ANY trim/format.

Hey now. I'm actually looking into jumping into a Miata for my DD car.
I've driven a couple Solstices. Fun cars. I'd put them more along the line of the NEW MX5 in comparison, rather than anything else. Maybe a Chrysler Crossfire convertible. It's more of a roadster that was built with GT car ideals. Not like the small roadsters from MG, Lotus, or the Miata. More of a cruising car that happens to lose the roof when you want it to. It's small, but small in the same way a 997 is small. Not exactly big, but not really tiny either.
With that, I ran across a guy in a GXP Solstice last year sometime. He goosed the gas at me a few times so I played. I honestly thought those cars would keep up better. If I ever got one, I'd want some more turbo under that hood.

Cole, can you provide details on how you kept the factory seat belt harness with the new seats?

Except that when the top is down you have ZERO trunk. Not even enough for a laptop or a small overnight duffle. Not much of a "GT" car.
Well, it's "cup holder" (singular).
I don't really know what the factory female seat belt end looks like. They were missing in my car. The female ends I have now just bolt to the seat. The rest is stock.

You know I will have to try that. I have seen it before, I've tried the just slow down bit but that doesn't seem to work for me!
Ritzblitzt the female part is welded to the seat on my 85.5 NA and my 89 T, I thought that was the norm?

I don't know what you're asking, but my female safety belts are bolted to the torque tube tunnel.

Try this. Folds up flat when not in use.

On the other hand, I'm beginning to believe the Germans were on to something back in the era when they couldn't comprehend the idea of eating and driving at the same time, so I'm tempted to say I'm better off without it...
