is there such a thing as 27.5MM front sway bar?

Turbo S should be 26.8mm, IIRC.
Maybe your tool is off (LOL).
Or a thick coat of paint...

Lart...You can put a thing called a battery in that tool and it reads out the exact measurement. You do have to master the art of pushing a few buttons and you also have to remember to turn it off or the battery goes dead.

I have squeezed the sh&t out of that caliper, battery is dead but I have used to measured other parts with accuracy see this pict for a M030 26.8MM.

On a serious note, the problem I have with the plastic cased calipers is that the edges are not straight so you can't really tell what the value is between the mm marks. I read the pic above as 26mm.

correct is 26mm + a tiny little winny = 26.8mm

I must get another vernier scale caliper i have 2 cheap digital ones and one of them plays up real bad it is often just a little bit out so it can trick you ...
