Default ER - control arm rear monoball clunk

Anyone ever experience clunking shortly after installing new elephant racing control arm rear monoballs?

I have the ER monoballs and polybronze spring plates. I didn't notice any noise of any kind after upgrading.

I have some clunking going on but I haven't had time isolate where the noise is coming from. Only change was the ER monoballs/bushings and coilovers.

IF THE SOUND IS WHEN YOU ARE MAKING A TURN--CHECK YOUR EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE--MINE WAS HANGING UP ON A PROTRUSION OF SOME SORT (I FORGET EXACTLY WHAT) WHEN I MADE A HARD LEFT HAND TURN- IT WAS THE RIGHT SIDE CABLE

Did you check your trans mount? That or tq tube bearings is my guess. I think it's your trans mount sans the stock rubber. When you take the rubber out of your suspension, other items without dampning become noticed.

Sounds directly at the monoball. You can use prybar and or bounce test same reuslt. Just for extra, my trans mount is polyurethaned. I even had the monoball switched sides and the noise follwed the monoball, then I bought another one because ER thought it was impossible that it was their piece and the new one makes the same noise. So 1of 3 is silent...

I had a set that I sent back to have rebuilt since the driver side had worn out and the wheel would move about 1/4 inch back and forth when I would torque the lug nut. I got the new set the other day and have the same noise that sounds like a "snapping pop" when the car/suspension moves up and down. I may take them off and see if I can figure out what is going on. I noticed when I put them on the center section was very tight. I needed to put a crescent wrench on the housing to get it adjusted so I could put the bolts in. The last set I had moved freely with just hand pressure. I'll let you know what I find out.

Weather Seals - Our proprietary-design Monoball cartridges have weather seals to keep dirt out and extend product life. This is the only Monoball suitable for street or extended track use. Dirt and water contaminate ordinary products and accelerate wear.
