Default Alright guys..... opinion time!

So a quick sketch of what i've been thinking up for a while..... So the question is, should I or shouldn't I?

other options I'm considering....silver with orange rims, black with orange rims, and black with red rims.

To complete it, I plan on putting CCW classics, a front splitter(undecided of which one), 968 mirrors, door handles, and rockers, and the rocker decal ( the plan is for the 80s turbo script that was on the 911s, but now that i see the GT3 rs I kind of like it.....maybe make it a tribute car, who knows!)

Anyway! the splitter, rims, decal, and mirrors will be color matched.
Soooooooooooooooooo..... what ya think

Yes on the color, NO on the decals. The color is pretty, the decals are ricey.

I think the 80s turbo script would be alright but GT3 RS doesn't belong. In the end though, do what make you happiest!

I did black with orange rims for a little while.

Now I am back to green...

and hopefully soon I'll have the "turbo" script decals and 968 spoiler done...
photoshop of course:

I have always thought this was a cool picture though... since I am using the "signal green" as on the GT3RS.

thanks for the feedback guys!

John- The decal I was referring to was the turbo one Elliott posted above.. Its the general turbo script decal, I've just always seen them on the 911s.

Doug- I'm glad you brought that up, I totally forgot about the club sport decal. thanks

Elliott- I got to say, it was actually seeing pictures of your 951 with signal green wheels in a thread a while back(around july or so) that started me on this whole 2 tone paint scheme. So thanks for the vision. And that is a pretty bad *** picture, btw.

i think flying your own flag like Sean has on his and Pats car is ok and its ok to go 80's doing it . I think stripes are ok .. but turbo or GT3 rs is so absolutely wrong and tragic try hard . ... its like wearing a T shirt that has
"i have a big **** realy really i do "printed on it . even if it is big those who want to know will find out soon enough .
and the ol splatter guard sticker kit that was around for 944's has a good retro look as well

Go for it!

I too have a soft spot for "RS-inspired" cars...

I also might be doing something RS/CS-inspired with my 951...but I'm not revealing that yet

that's probably the best analogy i've heard for decals on cars

It's really no different from having GT3RS decals on a GT3RS, or Carrera decals on a Carrera.

I just wish I could put something cool on there like Club Sport or RS Turbo, but, I can't do that.

Not sure still, I may try out the Turbo decal and if I don't like it I can always peel it off. It's worth a try I think. We'll see.

This is the look that I really like.

if you are referring to the decal that goes on the front fender, I have seen those and I really like them in the examples I've seen. However I'd like to do something a little different on a 944 yet still keep it simple. Flames and camo and carbon fiber decals are a bit too tacky in my opinion. But part of the concept behind my decal design is to do something that you can't just buy online... Anyone can do that.

I figure, this car has well over 200k miles, is not exactly in aesthetically pleasing shape as is, so its allowing me to have a little fun experimenting with different looks. The challenge is to keep it looking clean or aggressive, and unique, but have fun with it. I get a lot of comments about the green and it's usually a "love it or hate it" type of thing. I have 2 other 944's in solid, non two color theme looks, so I decided to make this one a little different.
