I'd email them back that you're fine with those concerns.

On a separate note, I would spend the money and have a modern LSD installed. There was a great write-up in Excellence last year about it.

I've got LSD (M220) in my 951, but my 968 has an open diff and you can really tell the difference, especially in "spirited" driving.

Well, the shop does have to actually test the car. Driving something off boost doesn't give a good indication if everything is working on boost.

The car was run on a low boost setting. The issue seems to be that the car came on power very quickly.

Good to hear you are having these problems

I suspect the clutch working properly has something to do with it as well.

When I changed the clutch in the red car it made a world of difference in regards to power transfer. Black car is currently up on stands getting the same treatment.

245's?? that's what is on the front of my car.....Not sure if they would ever hook.

Ummm, boost coming on quickly is an issue? That's the way you want it to be!

Maybe they are a fuse. Will keep me from breaking transmissions???

Drag radials would be a bad thing I think.....

Maybe set the rev limiter lower to save the rod bearings

If the trans is braced OK I don't think DR's are out of the question, and would be a necessity if you plan on running it in the quarter.

At 11psi, I can't imagine that he would need DRs, I would think just some more and sticky tire would be fine.

That's your problem. You are running girly tires. I had zero problem hooking up with my 295's from a hard roll on in second gear with my stage 2 and my motor had additional work. This was also on 18psi btw.

They run the car with boost low. Here is what they emailed me about the car:

We used about 10-11 lbs. boost. Car is fast (no hook up in first 4000-6000)

Should I be worried about this with this low of boost? If it doesn't work right at low boost, what will happen at 15psi?

This seems to be a problem. I can't fit much bigger tires under it. I think my only solution may be a LSD?

Oh well. I will just have to learn to live with this problem.

(ps. seems like when I get home to get the car, John will have put a big smile on my face)

Sorry, I'm the guilty party LOL.

A wider contact patch (tire) will help greatly. As I understand, you are running a dual port WG but in single port. Plan on faster spoolup when you connect it as dual port.. With the PB you will be able to set your boost curve from mild to wild.
I had a conversation with the shop's owner, he stated that there is almost no lag.

Enjoy

John. You are correct. Imagine my excitement (sadness?) with being on a trip and the shop telling me this. I need to try the car.

The Vflex is not yet installed. The dual port is only run as single port with the slow reacting manual boost controller. This is a base tune. I am 1500 miles from my car. Its done. And I can try it in a week....I am thinking this will be a long week.....

Or i fly home for a day....
