Anyone near chicago have a stock alternator that is in good working condition. I have a track weekend starting Friday and just found out my alternator is shot. Please PM if you do.

Thanks

I can check but I don't think so. You might try evil 944t. He probably has 10 of them.

good luck Brian - hope it goes well. Let me know what you think as my first day was a little anticlimatic as the 230lbs of weight did not really change the car as much as I thought (but probably just my driving ). Manual takes some getting used to and my arms were pumped after the session but overall on balance I prefer the 'feel'

IM headed to Autobahn to run with the Audi club for their 3 tracks 3 days event. It's always a good time.

Dan, I will definetly report back. I just had my car corner balanced and aligned and was a little disappointed in the overall weight. Im 100# over the 2920 but that is with a little over a 1/2 tank of gas. I figure that tank of gas is worth 50lbs or so. That means I need to try and find another 50lbs to delete. Not sure where that is going to come from. Guess I need to consider fiberglass bumpers and stuff. I already gutted the doors for the new cage. I figure with all the invested time and $$ I want this car right at the weight limit when empty on gas.

without me in I came in at 2755 and with me in I was 2885 with near empty fuel. I am going to add balast this weekend interestingly the car corner weights were

721
722
722
721

which I was pretty pleased with although it will obviously now go out with 30lbs of balast

I was supprised my car was so light as you know my cage is VERY substantial however I thing gutting the doors to fit the side bars in and having no glass in there made a big difference as well as the FG rear bumper, mannual rack. I did not even need to fit my optima battery and probably wont which is worth another 18lbs
