If the new wasted spark works as well as the previous version I owned you should make lots of happy customers John.

That is a very good question. One that will allow you to make as much as you can but low enough to sell enough units to be viable. The sweet spot. Best wishes on the quest John, for your products quality and performace is a given so comes down to price. Not a bad problem to have. As for the number?

Unless an aftermarket system is used and the stock Distributor system is worn out, what is the advantage in going to Wasted Spark. The spark energy is halfed and the Inductive Coil packs used cannot generate any more energy as the typical Inductive coils used cannot take any for dwell time. Seems like a pointless excerise, one that gets alot all hot and heavy and displaces alot of well earned cash.

The stock Distributored system with the addition of CDI instead of Inductive type ignition is a far superior combination. Increased spark energy and all of it fgoing to each plug. nothing 1'2'ed.

Thank you for the best wishes.
The price and the performance were never a issue in the original WS system. We just couldn't produce them fast enough to meet the demand. I have a list of people waiting...
The issue was the time it takes us to produce the original system. It performed great, and solved many of the issues people were encountering when running high boost.
The goal now is to come up with a system that performs great, but can be produced cheaper and quicker than the original WS.

I have the prototype running on my car, so things are progressing nicely.

One thing to note, the original, as well as the new WS can drive COP if someone wants to go this route.

The good price also depends on the parts provided with the kit.

My $0.02: a very good price = $300-$400; good price = $400-$500; a less good price = more than $500

A realistic price, for what is certain to be a solid product, 500-1000.
Ya can't buy brand new 968 door hadles and mirrors for 500 bucks.
Let's be realistic folks. John's not running a charity!

I would bet
at $700 price point there would be plenty of buyers
at $500 you could not keep them on the shelves
< $500 likely wasting your time with zero profit margin

John,

What advantage is there when changing over to WS system?
