Default New Spltter

Everyone seems to be interested in splitters. This was my solution for track/racing. I previously used the AIR fiberglass as seen in my avatar.

I can get a few more this weekend. I had the fabricator make tabs that connect to the factory batwing holes/flats. Those are bolted on. We then used a quick connector to attach a plastic shield that extends down to the desired splitter height. I had two complete sets of parts made and can use those as template to keep me in splitters for the rest of the GTS season.

I will take it apart and photo this weekend. I did not like anything else I saw on the market for race applications. Note that the fascia comes off with 2 bolts per side, the splitter is removed via the 6 quick disconnects. In literally 3-5 minutes I can have the front fascia and splitter off the car.

The first two we made are laminated quarter inch plywood which is very light yet strong. The next ones will be carbon fiber now that we have a working template.

I like how it's quick release.

Can I have your old one?

Nifty. I like the second oil cooler setup. Assume you're running two in series. Is the first cooled still in the factory location? What are you seeing for max oil temps with your setup?

I'm running two factory coolers in series but have the second cooler mounted next to the radiator mirroring the factory position for the stock cooler.

Both are factory coolers and mounted via custom brackets in identical locations directly behind the fog light cavities. All lines were replaced with braided stainless. I removed the factory power steering cooling loops to provide room and replaced that with a new cheap unit in front of the radiator.

Temps never exceed 230.
