Default The correct way to put HID's in a 944

Not completely finished, but thought I'd give a quick teaser. Started it's life as a D9 H4 set. Don't have them wired in the car yet so I just used a LED flashlight stuck in the projector to give some preview shots. High beams will be taken care of by some euro driving lights, but I have left enough space that I could put a smaller lens for a high/auxillary lighting.

Nice! Too bad I did a headlight delete. Maybe you could do this to some Euro fogs for me and I could compensate you?

Wouldn't be too hard. Hella makes 50 and 60mm modular projectors that would fit in the housing. Not sure how the lens would effect it since it's not smooth/clear. I believe Mike (MPD47) used some Hella Micro DE's with his car.

Even though I haven't driven with these, I've been thinking about redoing them anyways and at least going to a low/high setup. A few weeks ago I bought some headlights from a 95 Audi S6 for stupid cheap knowing I could probably make something out of them since I have basically the same lights in my S4 and the projectors are pretty good.
Then when I was tooling around in the garage tonight I started tearing them apart as I was going to start pulling the projector out of it and had a crazy idea. A few teaser pics are shown below. Some slight trimming and then some molding to the buckets and it'll work. Will mask off the high reflector and paint the rest of the chrome white.

Some pics of the headlights with HID's on my S4:

Everything went smoothly and thankfully the weather cooperated. Saw plenty of snow, but none stuck to the road.
