Default New second timer

well glad to be back, actually its my 3rd 944 t, but my second race prepared version.. cant wait to get her o the track next weekend! should be fun I have had quite a few cars very well prepared track cars as well as cup cars so this should be fun!

I do need an additional set of wheels any thoughts or recomendations would be helpful. Are 17s stilll the way to go? i really want to go as wide as i can looks like I have 1/2" to spare on the rears now .

wheels are true track only any thoughts on sizes and types?

thanks looking forward to meeting a new group of owners

Car looks great!! It has dry sump? Pics. Where's the oil tank located.

Are you running full slicks or R spec? If it's R spec you can go 18" easy. More choice of tyres too.
Do you know what size rims you have? They look nice and in good condition too. There will be
Hoosiers to fit 18" that won't have an effect on the ride height. With slicks they are often a taller
tyre so you may have to check them more carefully. Stock body you can fit 295s out back and probably 265/275 front depending on suspension setup.

Can I ask, you've clearly had some pretty amazing Porsches. Why the switch back to a 951?
Stock engine huh...wonder how long that will be the case. lol....

That looks like the car that was afor sale through Ruf. Car is gorgeous. How about some close ups of that rear wing.

The hot setup for wheels is 18 x 10 w/ 285/30/18 if you can fit them, all around. We have some very fast S2's running that set up in the midwest. It does take front fender persuasion. I run the 18 x 8.5 in front with 245/35/18, the diameter is the same as the 285/35.

Also do you know what the suspension is? Brand, spring rates etc? While the car may be perfectly setup now, it also may not be. It could be too low for the suspension and it will bottom out on the bumpstops. It may mean you have to raise the ride height a smidge. I only know this because I went through the same thing. If this is the case you then might be able to fit some of the taller slicks too? Just an idea.
