I seriously considered building supercharged LS6 in the 951...... but in the end it would require the entire corvette TT and trans axle to live more than a weekend.
So had to go a different route

I don't believe you have to mess up the suspension geometry to put in the LS series motor. I have a 3 piece cross member that would allow me to drop the center section and keep the end sections at their original height, or they may make a custom cross member that does this. I don't have one, but several on the board do - including Tony G. and the install is very clean and the weight of the LS engine is very close to the fully dressed turbo motor.

There are several other people producing parts and doing customs install the right way. Aforemention chodes just want you to believe there is no other way and they are the only game in the transplant world.

Someone here should remember the red widebody 951 on ebay years ago that had a twin turbo V8, one piece front bodywork, big crest stickers on the sides....

There's also that red tube-frame car with the BBC with 114mm turbo where the passenger's fog light and turn signal were. That was an 1/8 car if I remember correctly.

The LS7 Z06 and Skyline are plenty fast down the straights.
I'm more of the type of person that likes to beat these cars on the track due to corner speed and not straight line speed.

HA! well a stock Z06 is not exactly what i would consider "fast" down the straights.

I hear what you're saying...
I have the 3 piece cross member with the LS1 and did use the supplied 1/2 spacer to drop the cross member down 1/2". And I had planned on doing something about it.
But I just don't feel anything has been affected handling wise so I never messed with it. Probably because I run stiff suspension and there's just not a lot of wheel movement compared to a stock car so there naturally wouldn't be bump steer.
Anyway... if it ain't broke...

I'm guessing you mean this car??
Looks good from certain angles, others not so much....
Never liked that fugly nose/chin panel. From side on with the high rear end
it looks like some sort of prehistoric bottom feeder.
The front angle looks good though as far as the lights and widebody goes. Looks
a pretty well put together car externally anyway.
So this is a TT V8?

That one has actually been done pretty well from the pics. I really don't like that Kokeln bumper but you can see the presentation of the car is good.

Yup. Im LS3 powered now.

The front nose isnt fugly.....its functional. Each cutout actually cools something in the car. They are each ducted; 2 for the front brakes, 2 to scavenge air and the rest for the radiator. I couldnt cool with a stock bumper spoiler and I wasnt going to "turbo my NA".
The above pics are quite old. Since then, Ive added a lower rear spoiler, boxed rockers built for the widebody, and a fiberglass hood. These things, though not all that big-a-deal, really change the profile a bit.
