I know that they are a great bang for the buck. My friend had them on his ~350rwhp twin turbo RX7 before he went full R-comp, and he liked them. I rode with him on the track and drove it on the street on some backroads and they felt good, nice grip, no bad habits.

My past few sets of tires on my 951 have been Dunlop Direzza Z1 star specs, 225/16s all around. They are an incredible tire for the money (barely over 100 bucks a tire) and the fact that they are true street tires that work well in the rain as well. They have near R-comp grip (I have been winning my class in POC time trials lately and all the competition is on R-comps) and you can drive them to and from the track as well as every day. I had the Bridgestone RE-01Rs before the Dunlops and they are great as well. Really, you can't go wrong with any of the latest group of summer/extreme performance tires, tire technology is incredible now!

Wow, looks like a real step down in tyres and cars from what you're used to in the past. Bummer...

had exper wtih Victoracers, good tire. I really like Toyo RA1, bit more expensive but...you can flip the tire if you stay in the dry, get really good wear and they're at the best almost down to the cords

Yeah - definitely go with the RA1 or Nitto's. Way faster the the Kumho XS. Check out www.onlinetires.com - great prices on Nitto's.

i honestly think the RA1 is the best tire I have ever driven overall. Good wear, fast out of box to cord, predicatable and I got 20 days out of a set (granted they were full tread) but that is like 80 HC.....

Compared to Hoosier R6 where I am getting 12 HC they are amazing value!

Get the newer R888, if you don't want to go all out.

I agree with the earlier post on the Dunlop Direzza Star spec, great grip that you can drive every day and in the wet - great price.

I've been running the NT01's for about two years now and they are excellent. And are as fast as the Hoosier R6 (without having to shave the tire) and do better heat cycling wise.

I wish they made the NT01 in more sizes.

I used to run 275/315 on 17" rims, but now I run 315's on all 4 corners.

If they made a 17" NT01 in a 17/335 that's then I'd run a 315/335 combo.
