My past few sets of tires on my 951 have been Dunlop Direzza Z1 star specs, 225/16s all around. They are an incredible tire for the money (barely over 100 bucks a tire) and the fact that they are true street tires that work well in the rain as well. They have near R-comp grip (I have been winning my class in POC time trials lately and all the competition is on R-comps) and you can drive them to and from the track as well as every day. I had the Bridgestone RE-01Rs before the Dunlops and they are great as well. Really, you can't go wrong with any of the latest group of summer/extreme performance tires, tire technology is incredible now!
Khumo XS is pretty incredible. Re01's are about the same.

I do llike the ra1's as well.

What is your goal, pure time, or pure enjoyment? All the 3 above will give the latter. There are faster tires, but I wouldn't know about that. Tony may.

No

AIR fenders (1" wider), bumper skin, nose panel, and hood (all are fiberglass).

That splitter is no longer on the car. You can see the new splitter at http://www.tonygarcia.org/944V8 on the right side....
